Startrep.exe Application error

My computer can't get past the start up page, and asked if I wanted to go to Startup Repair, so I did and it asked if I wanted to Restore it, so I clicked yes and it got

"StartRep.exe Application Error

The instructions at 0xfbb5584d referenced memory at 0x00000008. The memory could not be read. Click ok to terminate the program"

So I clicked OK, as there were no other options, and went through System Restore from a list and got the error:

"The instructions at 0xfb85584d referenced memory at 0x00000008. The memory could not be read. Click OK to termine the program".

Help? I'm in Norway but I don't speak Norwegian, so I don't want to have to take it anywhere to get fixed.
