Hi Folks,

I'm looking for my company a 2fa solution since some time now, and I view a lot of solution but nothing perfect for the moment, so I would like to have your advise on this.

We have an active directory domain which is used of course by some windows client servers, and also by some linux servers, via an sssd like solution mechanism (called pbis, by beyondtrust)

What would be the best solution would be a solution installed on the active directory domain, that would be able to:

  • enable 2FA authentication for windows client servers (rdp connections)
  • enable 2FA authentication for linux client servers (ssh connections)
  • the 2fa solution would be using TOTP using a QR code (time based OPT), so users can add an entry in a smartphone software that can generate token like google authenticator
  • the 2FA solution should not require an internet connection

it can be a solution that we pay for, or a free on (but I doubt it exists)

Do you guys know something like that?

Thanks a lot in advance

    Hi,
Thank you for posting in our forum.
Because Linux is a third-party software, it does not belong to the scope of Microsoft's support, and at the same time I am not very familiar with this problem, we suggest that this problem can be solved by other means.
If there is a problem related to others, please share the solution under this post
Hope this information can help you
    Best wishes
    Vicky
