Error message: The Handle is invalid

I have Windows Vista Business operating system. Recently, when I try to install drivers for my printer (HP Laserjet P1007), one message stating "The Handle is invalid" is coming. I am unable to install the printer. Please guide me how to solve this issue.

Hi, 

·         Are you installing the drivers from a CD/DVD?

This seems to be an issue with the driver. You may try these:

Step 1: Run the Microsoft Fixit from http://support.microsoft.com/mats/printing_problems/en-us?entrypoint=lightbox

Step 2: Remove all the previous entries of the printer driver installed and install the latest driver from the manufacturer’s website.
