Hello,

I know how to migrate sccm with backup / restore and I would like to know if it's possible to moove database from C to new volume during this migration ?
I do it with 2 step :

  1. migrate sccm + database
  2. moove database on new volume

Is it possible to restore database on new volume with sccm recovery assistant or this is not supported ?

You don't need to use SCCM to move the database from one volume to another. You can use SQL to detach the database and move the files to the new location and attach them. Keep in mind that you will want SCCM stopped during this move.

    Thanks for your answer.

My source server was on 2012 os and sql 2012 and i need to migrate to 2019 os and sql.

I migrated and now i need to moove my sql database to new volume
    I find this procedure :
    https://www.prajwaldesai.com/move-sccm-database-to-another-drive/

It s not only detach and attach on this link because i see some sql querry too. Are they necessary ? Or i can just aattach / detach ?

If i need to do new migration with same source than this one and same destination, is it possible to migrate os + sql + moove db to new volume at the same time ?
This is my real question :)

I would like to know if in 1 step i can moove sccm app + db on new server while mooving db file to new volulme.
