I am not able to save an image sent in outlook as a jpg.  When I follow the help instructions as follows --

  1. Click the picture or SmartArt graphic that you want to save in a graphics file format.
  2. On the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, clickCopy.

  1. On the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, click the arrow underPaste, and then click Paste Special.
  2. In the Paste Special dialog box, in the As list, clickPicture (GIF), Picture (PNG), or Picture (JPEG).
  3. Right-click the graphic, and then click Save as Picture.
  4. Type a name for your graphic file, browse to the location where you want to save the file, and then clickSave.

Everything goes fine until #5 when I right-click on the pasted graphic and it won't allow me to save it as a picture.  I am working with Windows 7 and Office Standard 2007.  Can you please explain how to save as jpgs?  thanks .

Hi  and thank you for your response.  However, it was not helpful and did not work.  Why is it that when I was using XP and an earlier version of Windows, I was able to copy an embedded outlook picture and save as jpg into any folder on my computer?  Now that I have upgraded to Windows 7 Professional and Office Standard 2007, I am not able to do this.  As I indicated above in my initial question, the instructions above do not work.  Perhaps Microsoft needs to update this feature so it does work.  I don't want to have to rely on a 3rd party imaging software.  Thank you.
