Missing "a7bd71699cd38d1c.automaticDestinations-ms" file in Auto Destinations folder

The jump list does not show recent documents when I right click the Word 2010 32 bit icon that is pinned to the task bar. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit OS. I followed these instructions from another post:

"1. Press the Windows Logo Key+E to open Windows Explorer. The Address bar is the long box between the

Arrow icons on the left and the Search Bar on the right.

 2. Click an empty spot in the address bar and press the Backspace Key to clear all of the text in that bar. Copy the following line:

 %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations

Right click in the blank address bar and select Paste, Press the Enter Key.

 3. This will open the AutomaticDestinations folder. At the top/right of the window under the Search Bar, click the View Menu drop down arrow. Select the Details view.

 4. Locate the following file.

 For Word 2010:  a7bd71699cd38d1c.automaticDestinations-ms

Right click that file and select Delete.

Go to the pinned Word icon on the Taskbar. Right click that icon to confirm that the pinned items section is empty.

Start opening various Word files to rebuild that list."

However, there is no "a7bd71699cd38d1c.automaticDestinations-ms" file in my Auto Destinations folder.

I tried deleting all of the files in the folder, but still no file was created for Word.  Can you help?

Thank you

Thanks Mark. I guess old support threads never die.

I have the same problem.  It's detailed in This Link.   I tried over 8 things that have worked for others and none works.  Basically it comes down to Word and Excel (and only them) not creating their companion file in the AutomaticDestinations folder.  It will create the master 1b4dd67f29cb1962 file, but not the second companion file (a7bd71699cd38d1c is evidently Word's file's name), like all other apps do (like Powerpoint, Photoshop, MATLAB, etc.)  I don't know why.
