User alert on SharePoint 2010 doc library during Migration

Hello All,

I planned to migrate a doc. library from SP2010 to SPOnline using FLY migrater. On the source SP2010 doc. library there is a user alert set up on a weekly basis. When I migrated this doc. library to destination (SPOnline) it triggered a user alert that I have modified the files in doc. library in the source (SP2010). But that doc. library wasn't touched since past year and when looked into the doc. I don't see any changes on modified date.

Any idea why this alert was triggered to user that I had modified something ? Or this behavior is due to the connection and migration from source to destination.

Any suggestions or recommendations ?

Thanks,
Mike

    Hi, @Mike ,

As you are using a 3rd party tool to migrate, which is out of the scope of this forum, it is hard to say whether the tool modified anything in your source library which may trigger the alert. Per my knowledge, the alert shall send email about details of the modification, what have you seen in the Email? And if there is no alerts sending in next week, we may consider it could be a single event due to the migration.
