change format from wimp to jpg

I made a movie on windows move maker but no one can open it in the wimp format. How do I change the format to one that is acceptable.

    WLMP is not a movie file. It's the Project file which

    is only useful for re-editing in Live Movie Maker.

    For sharing and playing in Windows Media Player

    save the file as a movie in the WMV format...the

    The only choice it gave me in "Save As" was "Movie Maker Projects". Then I couldn't find the video.  What the heck is this under?

    I made a move with windows movie maker. I had not options as to what format I saved it to. Now no-one can open a wimp file. How do I change the format?
