Decrease the Delay Time for Taskbar Preview after you hover your mouse over a taskbar icon?

Hello,

For me its annoying that there is a 1 second delay from the moment you hover your mouse over a Taskbar icon until the Tabs preview pops up?

Is there anyway you can decrease the delay time (ideally to 0 seconds)?

PS Clicking the icon is not an option for me anymore, since I edited my registry so that "Left-mouse click" brings up the last tab viewed, instead of the Tabs preview.

(On a side note, I highly reccommend this registry tweak, it is very easy to do and can easily be undone, see my last thread I started to get the instructions for this, or u can ask me in this thread and i will reply with the instructions)

Hi Dogpoundz,

For your information, it is by design; it takes 1 second to preview the tabs, when you move mouse pointer on it.

If you have any suggestion about Windows, you can leave your feed back in the following link

    Hi Dogpoundz,

I'm sorry that we were not able to answer your question as you would have liked however when it comes to changing registry settings or using 3rd party programs to do so we have to make sure that you are aware that using Third Party Software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the use of Third Party Software can be solved. Using Third Party Software is at your own risk.

So we cannot always recommend tweaks or software changes. That is why we ask that you leave feedback so that we can make sure that if there is a demand for a feature our developers are aware of that demand.

    Hello thanks for response,

I am sorry and I am not trying to be mean but you stated something that is really obvious. I know there is no setting options in the control panel of windows to change the delay time. I searched all over windows options.

However, I am guessing that a registry tweak will do the trick.

P.S.    Same thing happened when I posted my last thread. Someone came and quickly said  it was not possible and said to leave feedback (Also a community star member). And then someone came after like a month and told me a very simple addition I had to make to my registry, and his solution was perfect.

It seems there are many people on this site who seem to answer difficult questions like mine by simply saying "not possible,  leave feedback" so their ratings go up on this site.

Too bad there wasn't a quality control check for that

    Thanks again for replying though
