Attempting to update Windows 10 Version. Current version is 1703.

Question

Hello all.

I'm currently trying to update my windows 10 from my old version of 1703. I just built my computer and used a old CD that had the windows installer on it.

When I check for updates it saids I am up to date with the current version; however, I know this is not the case.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The last update for v1703 was August 14, 2018—KB4343885 (OS Build 15063.1266) which you can download here from update catalog.

I recommend you to upgrade directly to latest version i.e. Version 20H2 via ISO file.

Hi,
Save the iso file to the download folder from here:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
Rigth click on iso and MOUNT.
Open the virtual unit created and launch SETUP.

Hi,

You can update to the latest version of Windows 10 using Windows 10 installation media. DVD is better than CD because a DVD stores much more data than a CD. USB and ISO file are also recommended.
