That Support Engineer "expert" who is engaged by Microsoft idea is just another one of their wild goose chases.

If you mean are seeing message like this:

No Disk, Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf7c 475b6bf7c 75b6bf7c

Some folks think it may have to do with not using the Safely Remove Hardware feature, but I never use Safely Remove Hardware with their external USB devices but I do not have this message.

Here is some other information that sometimes works for some people:

    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-system/windows-no-disk-exception-processing-message/b1a67525-d5e8-46ae-9801-6b169547e656

If that doesn't work out, this idea will always work:

If you can't figure it out and other things are working okay, you can tell XP to just not show you that message when there is no reason.

Until you can determine what the "real" problem is with your hardware, you can disable the pop up message by making a registry adjustment.

Before making registry changes, backup your registry with this popular free and easy to use tool:

    http://www.snapfiles.com/get/erunt.html

Click Start, Run and in the box enter:

    regedit

Click OK to open the registry editor and navigate to the following key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows

On the right hand pane, check the value of the ErrorMode parameter.

If the ErrorMode parameter is set to 0, double click ErrorMode and change the value to 2 (2 = disabled).

Click OK to save the changes, then click File, Exit to close the registry editor.

Reboot your system and check things now.

Setting the ErrorMode parameter to 2 stops the pop up message but will still log any hard errors to the Event Viewer log.

    Hi,

    1.       Did you make any changes to the computer before the issue occurred?

I would suggest you to try the steps mentioned below and check if it helps.

**Method 1:**Try booting your computer in safe mode and check if the same issue occurs:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315222

Method 2: Ifthe issue does not exist in Safe Mode then try to set your computer in Clean Boot state.

By setting your system in clean boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows XP :

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353

Note: After clean boot troubleshooting step, follow the “Steps to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state” in the provided link to return your computer to Normal startup mode.

    Hope this information is helpful.
