videos stalling

i'm using a new laptop and youtube videos keep stalling, is there anything i can do, my knowledge is very basic.

Hi

Video Buffering (Stalling)

If videos are buffering it means the video isn't being sent to your computer fast enough. This can be because of a slow internet connection, sharing the connection with other computers, if you are downloading other files at the same time, or you have a lot of other tabs open in the browser.

Near the bottom right of the You Tube player you can select 240p, 360p, 480p, The lower the number the less likely it is to buffer. If the video still buffers you may need a faster internet connection.
