right click the .jpg file and hover over "open with", then select "choose default program".
Then i would think that you should pick "windows photo viewer" as the default program or Microsoft Office Picture Manager...

Original Title : WOMAN I DISTRESS!!!
I was in a .jpg file and I think I may have accidentally checked the always open with .png, cause now all my files marked .jpg are opening with .png. How do I change it or check it??? IT'S NOT MY COMPUTER I NEED HELP PLEASE...

- Right click on the file.
- Select: Open With from the pop-up menu.
- Click: Choose [default] Program.
- Select: Whatever program you use to view JPGs. Probably Windows Photo Viewer.
- Check: Always use the selected program to open this kind of file.
- Click OK.
