Customize Details Pane to Show Other Fields of JPG

I love the photo features of Windows Explorer in Windows 7.  However, I'd like to change which details it shows me in the Details Pane.  For example, with JPGs, I don't want to see 'Camera Maker' or 'Camera Model'.  I would like to see 'Subject' and other file property details.  How can I change or customize the Details Pane of Windows Explorer so that I can see and edit those fields I'm most interested in?

thanks.

Here's a solution that I found and it worked for me on Windows 8.1:

  1. Open the registry and go to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\SystemFileAssociations.jpg 2. Edit the PreviewDetails string with the values you want shown. You can reference the FullDetails string for what seems to be the complete list of values available for that file type.

Here's the post where I got the information from:

They want to Replace what is shown on the Details pane with other listing instead of the default listings.

Removing the information (properties) of the file the category is still shown on the details pane.

    Hi,

In the details tab, towards the bottom you can click on Remove Properties and Personal Information.

This takes you to another Window where you can customize the information there, if that’s what you are referring to.

Yes, I'm talking about the Details Pane at the bottom of the Explorer's window.  There must be something that determines which details it makes available for editing.  I'd like to change which details I can edit.

What you call "top row listing information" are simply field headers in the view called 'Detailed View'.  It's easy to change which columns are shown by right-clicking on any header.  But you have to choose View | Detailed before you can see any headers/columns/fields.  On the other hand, the Detail Pane is available in all views so long as the pane is enabled.  My goal is to change which fields it shows, as easily as we can now change columns in the Detailed View.

The details pane on the bottom of the page ?

If so I don't think you can,

But you can add and remove the top row listing of information,

It might be off base but the Details pane can be Increased in Size thus showing more information,

Just point your mouse to the top of the details pane until a double vertical arrow appears and drag it upwards.
