Hi. My HP Pavillion Notebook keeps displaying BSOD during the start up procedure. The cause is athrx.sys. This appears to be a device driver associated with the wi-fi wireless connector. How do I fix this problem? Thanks.

Boot to safe mode with networking, then visit HP support, specific to your model, and reinstall the wireless driver, see if that helps

The recently released (12 june) update for the Qualcomm Atheros 5007 adapter is making my laptop BSOD as well..

    Fix?!

    Info about the update:

Qualcomm Atheros Communications Inc. - Network - Qualcomm Atheros AR5007 802.11b/g WiFi Adapter

    Size: 2,9 MB

Qualcomm Atheros Communications Inc. Network software update released in June, 2012

My quick fix was to revert to previous driver for the Wifi adapter during safe mode.

Mine doesn't BSOD during boot, but it will randomly BSOD.  Seems to happen every time I do a Windows Update.  In the past, completely removing the device and driver, and then reinstalling (with a wired connection of course) has helped at least temporarily.
