Youre "repair route" wasnt quite right..

1st,with power off, remove battery, then set CMOS jumper pin from 1-2 position

to 2-3 position, leave for 5 minutes or so,then reset pin to default 1-2 position.

    Wait additional 5 minutes,replace battery,start pc.

Youll need to reset BIOS on pc start,as the above info sets all to default (as it left

the mfg).Which also means date/time must be set,set BIOS to performance setting, then

return to BIOS menu & adjust for add-ins,etc.Once thru, set & save settings.

I tried the above, reset the CMOS with the jumper, now my computer won't boot AT ALL.

Power on, nothing. Power on, hit DEL, hold DEL, nothing works.

Any ideas? Computer was working fine earlier in the day, but I occasionally got the Overclocking Error, F1 message.

Could it just need a new CMOS battery?
