Hi, I have installed Windows 8 pro 64bit but when my computer goes to boot i get this:

Boot Manager:

Windows failed to start. A recent hardware of software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:

1.Insert your Windows installation disc and restart the computer.

2.Choose your language settings, and then click "Next".

3.Click "Repair your computer."

If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.

Status: 0xc000000f

Info: The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible.

If i leave the windows 8 disk in the dvd drive windows will boot up no problem at all but i dont want to leave it in there day in day out....

Now i have done alot of research over the last 48 hours in this problem, there seems to be a few ways to fix it but none have helped me.

I  installed windows 8 by start up pc with disc inside drive and start the setup i done a FRESH install on my C: so windows 7 was completely deleted.

One way i have no tried is by disabling secure boot but im not sure on how to do this.

    Hello LewisReddie,

Thank you for asking the Question!

Sorry to know that you face issues with Booting . As I get it right you get an error code 0xc000000f when booting.

Perform Startup repair from Windows recovery environment and check.

a: Put the Windows 8 installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.

b: Press a key when you are prompted.

c: Select a language, a time, a currency, a keyboard or an input method, and then clickNext.

    d: Click Repair your computer.

e: Click the operating system that you want to repair, and then clickNext.

f: In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click Startup Repair.

Reply to us if you face any issues with Booting  or any other Windows Issue, and I would be glad to assist you again and try to rectify the issue as early as possible.

    Have a nice day!

    Hope this information helps.

I had this happen on dual boot machine.

OSX was on one other drive.

    During install it went ok.

    Rebooted asked me to choose

two identical installations on drive 5

(i only have 3 drives win 8 preview on one I was installing and one for osx and one for files plus DVD)

    or do setup

Chose setup and got error on reboot.  Never got to setup.

Problem I downloaded the system so I do not have a recovery disk.

    How to fix ?

Luckily I ordered the disk for $15.

Do I have to wait for disk ?

Also what is safe way to do install when I already have other os on machine.

    This required a warning.

Since I am getting disk in mail, can Iuse it in another machine as install on current failed?
