I recently got a new 64 bits computer with Windows 7 Home. I miss my Upper menu bar from XP. Where is it and how do I get it back?

Hi,

Which program is the upper menu bar missing from? Windows itself does not have an upper menu bar but a lot of programs run from within Windows do.

Windows Explorer menu bar is accessible from the Origanize drop down (towards top right of the window). Click this, rest the mouse on Layout and then click to tick Menu bar if it isn't already ticked.

Internet Explorer's menu bar can be accessed by right clicking an empty part of the window next to the tabs. Once again if Menu bar is not ticked, click to tick it.

Any other programs where you have this problem you will need to let us know what they are.

Tricky

i'm sorry. i can,t find it.  i guess the "menu bar" is what i'm hoping to find as i had it in xp.  the "favorites" and edit and copy/paste, file,  etc.  I don't know how to get it here on windows 7.

Thank you for the respond. I wanted the Windows Classic bars like I had in XP. I found I could go back to the Windows Classic looks with the bars etch. I found I could download it here: http://windows.microsoft.com/is-IS/windows-vista/Change-Windows-to-Classic-view  It seems to be working well at this time. I am very happy to get the old familar theme back.
