flight simulator cannot run because the version of Microsoft DirectX(R) installed on your computer is incompatible, please reinstall DirectX 9.0 by running Flight Simulator Setup, or download the current version from www.microsoft.com/directx.

-          What version of Operating System is installed on your computer?

Perform the troubleshooting steps form the link “DirectX is installed incorrectly on your computer”, and then check it his helps.

You can download DirectX and Security Fix for DirectX from the link:

    Trying install FSX + Accel. under W7 x64 SP1, had same problem. The runtimes indicated solved the problem. Thank you !!
