Hi All,
I am wondering if there is any known issues with SCCM 2006 and SQL 2012 SP4.
We have 1 CAS and 3 Primaries.
I am about to patch the 2012 SQL database to SP4. I would like to confirm that there is no known issues with this patch level.
Once the DB is patched, I will upgrade SCCM to 2010 CB.
Any advice will be appreciated.
Many thanks.
RR

Well considering you've been running in an unsupported state for a while now, upgrading to SP4 is a very good thing (SP3 hasn't been supported since the end of 2018). You should also consider moving to a newer version of SQL Server as 2012 reached its end of life in just over a year. See https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/products/microsoft-sql-server-2012.

    Thanks Jason,
I am going to move off SQL 2012 in the next 6 - 12 months. However, I have to keep it up to date for the time being.
I will be soon asking about the best practices to upgrade both the DB servers and the primaries as they are all on 2012 R2.

    Cheers,
    RR

    @R , R
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.
There is no known issues for SCCM with SQL 2012 SP4.
The official documentation said we can use version SQL Server 2012 with the minimum service pack and cumulative update supported by the SQL Server lifecycle. You can use this version of SQL Server for the following sites:
    A central administration site
    A primary site
    A secondary site
Here is the reference to upgrade the OS of site system and SQl Server:
