I keep getting this error message when I try to install Photo Gallery and Movie Maker.   Error: 0x8007064c, Source: Watson-x64.   It pops up when the install gets to 55%.  How can I fix this?

Thank You,

Kris Milochik

    Hi,

We appreciate your efforts for providing the setup logs of your computer. However we still need you to collect the remaining log files indicated in the solution article provided by Gerard_G. and these are the following:

    1. System Information
    2. Windows update logs

To do this, please check the instruction from the solution article above on how to gather log files for Essential Installer issues. Once you have these files, please upload it in the private section.

    Thank you.

    Hi Kris,

This issue may occur when the Installation Source file is not available or no longer valid. To troubleshoot this issue please follow the steps below:

1.) Uninstall Windows Live Essentials programs that are currently installed on your computer, please follow the steps in this link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-live/essentials-uninstall-ui

2.) Browse your computer to C:\Program Files then delete the Windows Live folder if available

    C:\Program Files*Windows Live*

C:\Program Files\Common Files*Windows Live* Note: If there is more than one Program Files folder upon opening C drive, then double click on Program Files x86 instead.

3.) Download and install using the offline installer: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-live/essentials-install-offline-faq

Let us know what happens afterwards.

    Regards,

    Gerard G.
