Breakout rooms symbol missing

Hello,

when I´m in a Teamsconference (as the organizer) - the "breakout rooms" symbol does not appear anywhere in my options, thus I can´t use this option, unlike my colleagues who work at the same school - even though I´ve installed the latest desktop version.

What can I do about that?

What is your version of Teams client?

To see the breakout rooms option within your meetings, you must turn on the new Teams meeting experience by:

a.Clicking on your profile image within Teams

b.Selecting Settings

c.Checking the “Turn on new meeting experience” option within General settings.

d.Restart your Teams client.

e.You can double check that the setting is setup correctly by starting a meeting and verifying that the meeting opens in its own window.

I have the same problem. I tried to follow the steps you described, but I do not have the option "Turn on new meeting experience". Can you please help with this?

What is your version of Teams client?

This option is missing now in the newest feature. Are you Teams meeting organizer in your meeting? Only the organizer can create breakout Rooms.

Hi,
I'm also having the same issue and also all the colleagues I ask and every-time (meaning: we do NOT have the "Breakout Room" icon, nor the "Turn on new meeting experience" option at the settings - as for I read in many places that new Teams Version are already have this option as default - I could send you the Microsoft links if you want...).

Moreover, I'm the orginazer of the meeting and the "About Button" told me: "You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.4.00.19572 (64-bit). It was last updated on 24/7/2021."

Could you please guide us what to do in order to enjoy the "Breakout Room" option?

Hello JimmyYang-MSFT, I'm still having this issued. My version of Teams is: Microsoft Teams Version 1.5.00.15861. It was last updated on 01/07/2022. Be grateful for any help. I'm on Microsoft 365 family edition. Thanks.
