Hidden error popups

When I make an error and the system stops for me to respond to the error, the message is in back of anything I have on the screen. Sometimes I don't know why thing got screwy and I start shutting down all the documents on the screen to safely reset the computer.  I then find that all the way down at the bottom of the pile is a message wanting me to respond/answer.  "Do you really want to..."

Don;t I have enough to think about without having to fight with MS?

If it is important to stop the presses, why is it not right there on top?

Is there a fix for this "feature".

These responses seem bizarre to say the least. Are you suggesting that these don;t happen to you at all?  I have spoke with several people that say it happend so many times they just want to go MAC.

I don't think this is a reboot issue.  I think it is a major error in Windows. It is just not intelligent enough to place notiv\ces oa the top of the screen in use.

    Hi,

Please provide us with the answers of all the questions mentioned above so that we can troubleshoot better. Also check your event viewer logs and try to locate if you are able to find any errors.

    Open Event Viewer

What information appears in event logs (Event Viewer)?

    Hi,

    1. Are all the error messages related to Word documents or any other application related to office?
    2. Which version of Office are you using?

Follow the steps in the link to perform a clean boot and check if the error messages appear again or not.

    Method 1:

A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts. Article below describes how to troubleshoot problems in Windows 7 by performing a clean boot. This article also describes how to start the Windows Installer service and how to reset the computer so that it starts as usual. To configure your computer to clean boot refer the following link.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After you have finished troubleshooting, follow step 7 in the article to boot to normal startup.

    **** Method 2:

To nullify the presence of any virus or Trojan on your computer run the scan mentioned below

    Microsoft Safety Scanner

    http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner expires 10 days after being downloaded. To rerun a scan with the latest anti-malware definitions, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Note: Any data files that are infected may only be cleaned by deleting the file entirely, which means there is a potential for data loss.

    Hope it helps!!

Ok, here is one" Microsoft Word". Word cannot open the existing file (Normal.dotm) [OK], [HELP]

It was under everything that I had open while I was working.  I only noticed it when I was closing up after a work session.  Ihave no idea when it occurred.  I have no idea which file caused it.  The warning is totally useless, so is the "help" file.  IT did not lock things up this time....

Other of these happen and require a response.  When they are there waiting, no demanding a response they lock up the program but are well hidden underneath anything open on the computer.

When I cannot find out why something appears locked up (because the text box demands a response) I end up closing things figuring that I have to reset the system, I close everything only to find the box well hidden  on the desk top. How silly is that?
