Windows Live Mail log error code " Zone_MailChk ERROR: (wlupdate.inl:486), failed with 0x80004005" (solved)

Alright.  First of all, I have a similar issue as http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/livemail-program/windows-live-essentials-2012-does-not-work/3cd18bbd-11a4-44c1-8b1b-f631e467a0a5

But my error code is different.  Every time I try to start Mail, the process opens, opens wlstartup.exe, then they both close without a single indication to the user as to why.  The only help is when they close, a message like the following appears in logs:

*********************************************************************************

*

* Log opened: 2012-11-09T02:58:37Z

*

* Windows Live Mail 16.4.3505.0912

*

*********************************************************************************

[21:58:37.93] 15c0                 Mail:            Zone_MailChk ERROR: (wlupdate.inl:486), failed with 0x80004005

*********************************************************************************

*

* Log closed (normally) at 2012-11-09T02:58:44Z

*

I do not know why this occurs, but that same error happens every single time I try to start Windows Live Mail 2012.

What does that error code mean?  How can I solve this problem?

For reference, I have tried the following:

    * uninstalling and reinstalling

    * doing a clean uninstall.

    * Renaming the account folder.

    * a few other things

None of them worked.  Is there any way to solve this issue?

If it helps, my original try of this was upgrading from WLE 2009.

    If you're getting the same error 0x80004005 in Windows Live Mail, please refer to this thread for the suggested solution and guide for editing registry key.

    =D  I fixed the problem by deleting the Windows Live registry key.  My problem is solved.  I'm not sure why this fixed it, but I'm glad it did =)
