MS Money98 archiving

Question

Does MS Money98 have a maximum .mny file? I have been using this program since 1998 and have all my financial details in it. I am worried that the file will become too big to use. Is there a point at which it will refuse to load? If so, any suggestions as to how to overcome this? I have always understood that archiving can be a problem. I'm running Windows 10.

I was thinking of copying the current file to a different folder. Then when opening it again, save it with a different name and delete a lot of old data, with the view that I can always go back to the copied file for the data. Would this work?
