Dear MS Team,
We are using the trail Microsoft exchange server 2016 since many months without any issue, for around 100+ users. Now we are planning for purchasing Microsoft exchange server 2016 but following questions need answers before proceeding to buy one:
- Is it will be a volume license buy?
- If it is a volume license buy then do we need to purchase the CAL license for client PCs. If yes then how come the trail version is able to server us since we don't buy CAL for the trail?
- We are using the outlook client setup(come by default in PCs) to access the emails from PCs do we need to buy CAL for the same.
Since as per MS documentation CAL is required for web access and mobile access. - What kind of license is good to purchase for around 200+users?
- Microsoft is selling exchange server 2019 as latest , can we download the exchange 2016 as well, if we purchase the exchange 2019.
- We have windows server 2016 installed and as per Microsoft documentation we can only install exchange 2016 on it. Is it true?
Requesting for a prompt reply.
With regards
Deepak
