Hello,
I have installed Edge Chromium 88 on RDS with Windows Server 2016 and Server 2019 and on both OS the protocol handler "microsoft-edge" is missing. IS this on purpose or any way to get them installed like on Windows 10?

    @Michael E ,

    On OS versions such as Windows 7/8 or Windows 2016, Windows 2019 server never shipped with Spartan and so the Microsoft-edge URL protocol was never created. Meaning if an app wants to open a URL specifically in Edge there will be no protocol to forward a URL to the application.

    When Microsoft shipped Anaheim it opted to take over the protocol from Spartan. On OS versions where Microsoft did not ship with Spartan, we will use 'Registering an Application to a URI Scheme (Windows) | Microsoft Learn ' to add the protocol where appropriate.

    Thanks for your understanding.
