Thank you for such a instaneous reply

well my computer is of the following make:

Motherboard: asus M2N-MX SE PLUS SERIES(GRAPHICS INTEGRATED MOTHERBOARD0

Hard Drives: 1 500 gb Western Digital, 1 250 gb Samsung hard drive

Processor: Amd Phenom X 3 Triple core

    Ram: Transcend 3 gb(2+1)

    Power box(if necessary):400W

    FANS: 3

    O.s.: WINDOWS 7 & AND RECENTLY WINDOWS 8

I never had blue screen errors, not for past three years.

But in February , i have started getting a black screen just before login .....

So i reinstalled win7....still no change

    Bootup too was slow

Finally well uptill day before Yesterday I got to know about Event viewer and so

    Checked what were the problems

    I solved some of them,

like avast was creatin a problem.....

    Suddenly,

I looked upon administrative events and saw this error A fatal Hardware error(some places the error is 'a corrected hardware error has occured')....

It is Right from the day i installed windows 7

so i guess this is the reason for black screen

The processor id is 2 but the error type is unknown.........

so I thought of Referring Help Here!!!!!!!!

I dont WHAT this issue is and it never comes on booting, i mean no bsods....

But this may be cause of black screen....

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you are getting hardware error in event viewer in Windows 7.

    1.      What is the make and model of your computer?

    2.      Do you face this issue while booting the computer?

    3.      Are you getting any blue screen error?

This error can be displayed if the drivers for the hardware are not updated or corrupted.

I would suggest that you visit the computer manufacturer website to download and install the latest Chipset and BIOS drivers and check if that helps.

NOTE: Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.
