CEF Initialization error. - Failed to load the required Icudt Library.

Question

My Trend Micro security will not open but gives CEF Initialization error. - Failed to load the required Icudt Library. I tried to uninstall Trend Micro but the same error message occurred and I could not uninstall it.  It happens at other times also seemingly randomly.

As per the description, you are unable to uninstall Trend Micro Security as you get CEF Initialization error. - Failed to load the required Icudt Library.

Let’s troubleshoot and try to resolve the problem. Please answer few questions to narrow down the issue.

Do you have multiple antivirus programs installed on the computer?

I have Windows 7 on my computer. Within the past weeks I am getting "failed to load the required icudt library" when I log on. As far as I know I never installed or uninstalled the trend micro program. I can't find it in the list "All Programs"

Hey, im having the same problema on my Windows 8, and i cant unistall it. When i try the programe send: " Failed to load the requiered icudt library. What i have to do?
