Every time i try to run Windows update i get this code error,FFFFFFFE.

Windows Update error FFFFFFFE

If you receive Windows Update error FFFFFFFE, it means that an update can't be installed because of a problem on your computer.

This problem is usually caused by a malware (malicious software) infection. To prevent your computer from becoming unstable, Windows won't install the update.

To solve this problem, we recommend that your reinstall Windows 7 using the Custom installation option and format the hard disk. Make sure to back up your files before you reinstall Windows 7. I would check to make sure your system is not infected. Some hidden types of malware can block the installation.

First clear up your Temp File/Cache.

What antivirus or security do you have running on your machine?

It seems possible that your Windows installation has been delibeяately damaged by a trojan. (SDBot and ZLOB, all protected by arootkit*.)) so as to prevent you updating your system or removing the trojan*.

Mosty likely, the computer may be infected with ROOTKITS.

Try to run TDSSKILLER to find any malware belonging to the family Rootkit.Win32.TDSS.

A very good antimalware app are SUPERAntiSpyware (SAS) and MalwareBytes Anti-Malware (MBAM) .

The recommendation is to use the intelligent quick scan routinely, and do full scans either on a longer periodicity--weekly, monthly--or only when something is found or you have some reason for suspicion
