When creating a new Profile editing user flow in Azure AD B2C, you have two options: Recommended and Standard.

It appears the Recommended user flow is completely broken. It can be used to sign users in, but they can never edit profiles with it. Standard does not have this issue. When looking at Page layouts for a Standard user flow, there is an edit page you can customize. The Recommended flow has no such layout to edit, only Sign in, Multifactor authentication page using email, Blocked page due to Conditional Access, and Error page.

I was not able to find a setting to fix this, and did not find anything in Google searches.

Problem summary: The Recommended Profile editing user flow appears 100% unable to edit profiles.

Apologies for the confusion, I've found the problem. If no User Attributes boxes are checked, the Profile edit page is not shown.

I think the UX could be a little more intuitive- like listing it as disabled with a tooltip saying "a User attribute selection is required."
