Azure vm configures dns forward, a large number of 5504 events occur, what is the reason?

This address (168.63.129.16) is configured in the DNS forwarder on Azure vm, a large number of 5504 events。

event:

The DNS server encountered an invalid domain name in a packet from 168.63.129.16. The packet will be rejected. The event data contains the DNS packet.

    Hi,

    Could you please explain your setup little bit like :

    1. What is the Operating System of your VM ?
    2. whether your VM is domain joined or standalone VM?
    3. Where you have configured this forwarder ?
    4. is that port no 53 is allowed between your VM and DNS server ?
    5. What kind of DNS server you are using MS DNS or some DNS appliance ?
