Hi, I had Office 2016 Professional Plus Installed on my pc. When Office 2019 was supposed to be installed on my pc. I removed Office 2016, and installed Office 2019 - which installed office 2016 against. It only works when I reset my pc then install it. There has to be an easier way. I have tried office scrub, uninstalling office from control panel and updating my downgraded office 2016 from update options. Can anyone help me get my office 2019 back? i have been at it for days. I have tried previous posts and they don't fix my problem.

Also I read another problem of office email linked to 2016, but that linked me to office scrub which I tried again and didnt work. This problem started when I logged into my one drive and then it downgraded to office 2016, from 2019.

I want to know which account do you use log into OneDrive? Is it a Microsoft account (personal) or a wokr or school account?

Besides, how did you activate Office?
Generally Office Professional Plus is volume licensed version, which uses MAK, KMS instead of licensed account to activate Office.

Currently, I suggest you use the following command to collect more information of Office.

    • Search CMD, right-click the Command Prompt and run as administrator.
    • Then copy and paste the command, click Enter at last:
      cscript.exe "%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office16\ospp.vbs" /dstatus
(If you are running 32-bit Office on a 64-bit operating system)
      cscript.exe "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Microsoft Office\Office16\ospp.vbs" /dstatus
    • Then please share us the command result like the following image.

To uninstall Office, in addition to using the uninstall tool, you may try to refer to this article "Manually uninstall Office".
(Please note, volume licensed version of Office 2016 uses MSI installation technology, but volume licensed version of Office 2019 are Click-ti-Run installation.)

    Looking forward to your reply.
