Java(TM) platform binary has stopped working

Hello all

I'm running a custom java program that I had work in the past.  I went to run it again recently and it crashed a spit out a error that Java(TM) platform binary has stopped working.  I've tried reinstalling java and updating with no success.  the event viewer for the error has this information if its any help.

    YAAAA!

    Thank you! This solve my problem, it seems like there was a conflict between some java and some program, or something that was running in the back.

    So that was the solution!

    Hi Leemu,

    Keep the computer in clean boot and check the issue status.

    How to perform a clean boot to troubleshoot a problem in Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8.

    Note: Please go through step 3 of the Kb to keep the computer in normal startup after fixing the issue.

    Hello Ganesh,

    Thanks for the post!  I looked through that thread and checked my DEP settings.  It was set for only essential windows programs and services only.  Which is the setting used to fix the problem in the other thread.  Would you suggest switching it to the other setting of for all programs except for the those I choose?
