Windows Live Mail sets no limits to the number or size of files in any folder.
If your account is synchronized with the mailbox at the server, then the server may apply limitations to the junk email folder. For example, both Gmail and outlook.com empty the junk folder periodically or remove messages after they've been there for a number
of days. Once they're removed from the server, they will eventually be removed from Windows Live Mail.
Hi: Thanks for your reply. As far as I knew, my junk mail had stayed in that file until I deleted it or moved it. I did not see any notification that these emails were going to be deleted. What is the time limit? I only have the junk email from about a
week or so. Shouldn't it be more time than that? The only email account I have is through outlook.com. Also, do I have to worry about some old emails that I need to keep that I have filed in folders in which some are still in the inbox and the junk mail
folders (some may be from years ago, but are very important!)? Thank you.
