Original Tilte: Solitaire game in Windows 7

Probably silly, but all of a sudden my Solitaire game isn't playing properly.  The cards don't shuffle, just plop down on the screen.  It's not an enjoyable game anymore.  Is there anything I can do to get the game back to the original way it should be played?  thanks

Since  the  "update"  of the Solitaire  game  this fall,  My solitaire  game  will not  play.   It opens to the  4 games,  starts to open  my xbox,  then  closes down.    I played the monthly  game  and the new  daily  game  for more than 1 year.   PLEASE  solve  this  problem!  I have  went  through  this  many  times with you and you  have  not  solved it!

I have a question regarding Solitaire v6.1 (Build 7601: Service Pack 1) which came with my Windows 7 Ultimate. When I play using cumulative Vegas scoring, the game often ends-- that is to say seems limited in time-- to less than a week. I usually only play while doing business over the telephone, lol, and I remember that I used to be able to play until I hit a total score of 4,000 or so. Now I never get beyond 2,000 and rarely that far.

Is there a newer version available from Microsoft that I can download? or do you have any other suggestions?

    Ty,
