solitaire animations

I have Windows 7 and Solitaire and Spider Solitaire work, but without Animations.  'Display Animations' on the options screen is grayed out.  How can I restore Animations?

    This solved my problem thank you.

    I did not need to select for best appearance, I just needed to tick the top item to activate animations.
