My parents bought a Sony Vaio last month, its been used twice in that time, and they're now getting a pop-up titled: Wireless Configuration, "OLE initialization failed: Make sure that the OLE libraries are the correct version."

They can still connect to the internet, but this pop-up wont go away.

Please help.

    Hi Symantha,

Initially we will diagnose this issue, boot the computer in Safe Mode with Networking and check if the issue persists. If you do not face this issue in safe mode with networking, I would suggest you to put the computer in clean boot and check if it makes any difference.

    Step 1:

To enter into safe mode with networking refer to the link below.

Windows Startup Settings (including safe mode)

    Step 2:

To help troubleshoot error messages and other issues, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This kind of startup is known as a "Clean Boot." A Clean Boot helps eliminate software conflicts**.**Here is the link for your reference to perform Clean Boot.

    Clean Boot

Note: After Clean Boot troubleshooting step, refer to “How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with Clean Boot” from the article.

Let us know the status of the issue. If you need further assistance, please post back. We will be glad to help you.
