Hi GDav_007,

Welcome to Microsoft Community. I understand that you are unable to send or receive messages due to error code 0x80072F0D in Windows Live Mail. To resolve this, please follow the steps below:

1. Re-configure your account in Windows Live Mail:

  • POP3 Server: pop3.live.com (port 995)
  • SMTP Server: smtp.live.com (port 25)

The error code may also be caused by connectivity problems so we request you to follow the steps below:

  2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  3. Click the Connections tab, and then click LAN settings.
  4. Click to clear the automatically detect settings check box.
  5. Click OK two times.

C. Internet Explorer may be set to work offline

To enable Internet Explorer to work online:

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Click to open the file menu.
  3. If there is a check next to Work Offline, click Work Offline to clear the option.

Let us know how things work out.

Regards.
