Hello ,

I recently was checking my task manager , when i noticed a process , called conhost.exe ( which is a valid windows process )  has been added to the processes , but when i looked forward into it , it didn't have any description  , nor i would open the file location , the properties , or even close it . ( access denied )

i checked with the Aug-2013 microsoft malicious file removal tool which was suggested but it didn't find any thing.

i'm a bit worried about it since it cannot be closed , but when i open the conhost.exe from "run" it has desc and is closeable ,

please respond soon as im pretty worried :)

Hi Mahdi,

The conhost.exe process sitting in the middle between CSRSS and cmd.exe allows Windows 7 to fix both of the problems in previous versions of Windows. I would suggest you to see the following link for more information.
