    Hi,

From the above description, you are getting FTP Connection to the server was reset.

    a. Were you able to connect and upload information to ftp websites earlier?

    b. Did you make any changes to your computer recently?

    c. Are you trying to do this using Internet Explorer?

    d. Do you get any error when you try to connect to FTP server?

Method 1: Try the steps from the following link:

Cannot access some websites in Internet Explorer

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/967897

Note: The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might reset security settings or privacy settings that you added to the list of Trusted Sites. The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might also reset parental control settings. We recommend that you note these sites before you use the Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature.

    Method 2:

    a. Open Internet Explorer.

    b.  Click on Tools and then click on Internet Options.

    c. Go to the advanced tab.

    d. Click to select the Use Passive FTP (for firewall and DSL modem compatibility) check box.

You may also disable any security software(Anti virus and firewall) temporarily and check if it helps.

NOTE: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you are connected to the Internet  or a network during the time your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
