Hi,

Every time i get an update notice from Java and try to install it, I get this error:

File: Java_sp.dll

the file was blocked because it does not have a valid digital signature

How to fix this? My computer is running Windows 7 64bit.

The only thing that worked out for me is removing Java then reinstalling it. Seems like the problem was because the installed Java was 32 bit.

Thank you guys for your help.

    Hi Meshal,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft community. We will be glad to assist you with your concern.

You are unable to install Java update as it is giving you an error message.

Method 1: Run SFC scan in the computer

Use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista or on Windows

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

Method 2: Place the computer in clean boot state to identify the cause

How to perform a clean boot to troubleshoot a problem in Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: When the troubleshooting is over do not forget to reset the computer to normal startup. Follow the step 3 in the above article.

If the issue exists I would ask you to remove the java completely from program and features and then re-install from the website:

Download and install the Java from link below:

Please post back with the result. If the issue is still not resolved, I’ll be glad to assist you further.
