    Hi Norma Jean,

Welcome to Microsoft community where you can find all the answers related to Windows. I will definitely try and help you get the mouse working, however if the issue is with the device, you may have to contact the hardware manufacturer.

Could you also provide us some additional information?

    1.            Have you installed the drivers for the mouse?

    2.            Do you have any anti-virus program installed on the computer?

    3.           What is the make and model of the printer?

    4.            Are you aware of any recent software or hardware changes on the computer?

You may change the mouse setting and check if it helps.

Although the article applies to Microsoft hardware, you may also go through the manual steps from and check if it helps.

Hope this information was helpful and do let us know if you need any assistance in the future regarding Windows. We will be glad to help.

    Hi

I too have been experiencing erratic mouse issues on my TOSHIBA LX830 all in one PC currently updated to windows 8.1, I recently installed new hard drive and reinstalled all software provided by Toshiba, I have spoken with their technical team who are bamboozled. its a real pain as the mouse has a mind of its own, apart from the mouse everything is running great, been through updating what I think to no avail, any help would be appreciated
