Hi Jens,

For the Internet Explorer issue, if you have not yet reset the settings then you may reset the settings to default and check if this helps.

Follow these steps to reset Internet Explorer settings to default:

  1. Press “Windows key + R” to get the run window.
  2. Type “inetcpl.cpl” and click ok to get the “Internet Options” window.
  3. Click the “Advanced” tab and click “reset”. Once this is done, restart the computer and open Internet Explorer.

Disclaimer: The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might reset security settings or privacy settings that you added to the list of Trusted Sites. The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might also reset parental control settings. We recommend that you note these sites before you use the Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature.

Reply with the status of the issue and we will be glad to offer our assistance.

i had to use the norton removal tool, then norton 360 wouldn't re install, so i had to have Norton remotely re install 360, after a re boot, it works now.

Fact: Norton (and McAfee) applications are notoriousfor not uninstalling (or upgrading) cleanly.

Did you (a) uninstall Norton 360 AND THEN (b) run the Norton Removal Tool & reboot (c) BEFORE you installed Norton 360 again?

Has any other Norton application (e.g., Norton AntiVirus; Norton Security Suite) or a McAfee application EVER been installed on the computer since you bought it?

Did a Norton free-trial or a McAfee free-trial [PICK ONE] come preinstalled on the computer when you bought it? (Doesn't matter if you never used or Activated it.)
