Thank you for taking the trouble to try to solve my problem. Unfortunately, having done everything you suggest the same problem remains!
Please wait while Windows configures Live Mail
My Windows 7 became so corrupted I had to reinstall it. I then installed Windows Live Mail 2011 (previously found problems with 2012 version) as I had before the corruption. Now every time I start Windows Live mail it comes up with the message "Please wait while Windows configures Live Mail". It then loads Live Mail so not a major problem but annoying. This didn't happen before I had to reinstall Windows 7 Home Premium. I've tried giving myself permission to access the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CLASSES\WLMAIL.URL.MAILTO which I was able to do but it made no difference.
Anyone have a solution to this please?

2013-12-07T07:11:54+00:00 Hi ukrambler,
Thank you for posting back. For troubleshooting purposes, please uninstall your Windows Essentials using a CMD (command) line parameter. Note that this is different from the regular process of uninstalling a program as this process deletes all sub folders on your system resetting every set up you made to default. To do this, please follow the instructions on the link below:
**How to uninstall Windows Essentials via CMD**
Afterwards, reinstall Essentials using an offline installer. The offline installer differs from the regular installer that constantly uses internet connection which can be halted by the computer's firewall or other third party software. The procedures and where to download the installer is on the link below:
How do I install Windows Essentials while offline?
Let us know the results afterwards.
Thanks!

2013-12-02T09:48:49+00:00 Hello Leilani, thank you for your interest. After reinstalling Windows I initially installed all of Windows Live Essentials 2012 but then uninstalled that and installed just the Mail part of Windows Live Essentials 2011. I have uninstalled and reinstalled this several times but with the same result.
I look forward to receiving your further comments.
Many thanks.

2013-12-02T04:50:40+00:00 Hi ukrambler,
Welcome to Microsoft Community forum. We understand that you're having problems loading your Windows Live Mail and you get a message "Please wait while Windows configures Live Mail".
Please verify how did you install Windows Essentials? Have you downloaded the entire application or just some selected program? If you installed the whole Windows Essentials, are you also getting the same error message when accessing other program or only when using Windows Live Mail?
This information would help us provide you our next course of action. We look forward for your response.
Thank you.
