    Hi Ali,

For a better understanding of the memory issue, I would need more information from your end.

    1.    Did you make any recent changes on the computer prior to this issue?

    2.    What is the make and model of the computer?

This issue may occur due to conflict between third party applications or due to memory issues. Let’s try few steps to resolve this issue.

    Method 1:

I would suggest you to run the Memory Diagnostic Tool and check if it helps.

    a) Press Windowskey and type "memory".

    b) Click "Settings" and then click the result "Diagnose your computer's memory problems".

    c) Select the recommended optionto run the tool.

**Method 2:**If the issue persists, I would suggest you to boot the computer to Safe Mode and check if the issue persists or not. If the issue does not occur in Safe Mode, you may set the computer in a clean boot and check if it helps.

    Step 1:

Refer to the link to boot the computer into safe mode and check for the error message:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/windows-startup-settings-including-safe-mode

If the issue does not occur in safe mode you may try step 2:

**Step 2:**Refer to the link to set the computer in a clean boot state and check if any other application or software is causing this issue.

Setting the system in a clean boot state will help to identify if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue.

Note: After clean boot troubleshooting steps, refer to the section "How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot" in the provided link to return your computer to Normal startup mode.

    Method 3:

If the issue persists, I would suggest you to download and install latest display driver from the computer manufacturer website and check if it helps.

Check if display driver for Windows 8.1 is available in the manufacturer website or not. If not, I would suggest you to install the display driver in compatibility mode and check if it helps.

To install the display driver in compatibility mode, I would suggest you to follow these steps.

    a. Download the latest display driver for Windows 8 from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

    b. Right-click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

    c. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

    d. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select Windows 8 from the drop down list.

    e. Let the driver install and then check the functionality.

Hope this information helps. Reply to the post with updated status of the issue to assist you further.
