Windows Performance Problems, Crashes, Slow Start-up

After bringing my laptop (Toshiba with Windows 7) home from a friends house, I noticed my computer had frozen. Upon restarting, it has not run the same since, having almost unbearable slow start-up time that takes nearly ten minutes on just the Windows logo screen, often crashing and mostly needing to restart. The few times I have managed to actually log onto a profile, it runs incredibly slow, taking minutes to perform even simple tasks.

A few times, I've received error messages that Microsoft Security Essentials had crashed and I've had black desktop backgrounds claiming my copy of Windows was not genuine (I bought this laptop from a Best Buy roughly 3 years ago with Win7 pre-installed). I have read that the Windows not genuine message can be caused by errors in anti-virus software leading me to believe that might be the cause but I honestly don't know.

According to MSE and Malware Bytes, I don't have any viruses (I managed to run a full check on both, it took significant amounts of time). I'm also reasonably certain that it is not a hardware issue as I checked the inside of the laptop as well as diagnostics and everything appears to be working as it should.

I'm planning on purchasing a new gaming PC within the next month and was going to use Win7 again for the OS but now I'm a little discouraged as I'm afraid there might be a problem with that too. Any would would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

Upon attempting to create the system information export file, I was greeted with a message that states "Cannot access the Windows Management Instrumentation software. Windows Management software may be moved or missing." The message persisted regardless of which sub-category I selected, and it was obtained in normal mode, not safe mode. I uploaded the file to OneDrive anyway, here is the link:

I also obtained the system and application event logs, the links are provided below:

Please provide a copy of your System Information file. Type System Information in the Search Box above the start Button and press the ENTER key (alternative is Select Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Information). Select File, Export and give the file a name noting where it is located. Do not place the cursor within the body of the report before exporting the file. The system creates a new System Information file each time system information is accessed. You need to allow a minute or two for the file to be fully populated before exporting a copy. Please upload to your OneDrive (formerly Sky Drive), share with everyone and post a link here. Reports in normal mode preferred. Please say if the report has been obtained in safe mode.

Please upload and share with everyone copies of your System and Application logs from your Event Viewer to your OneDrive and post a link here.

To access the System log select Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer, from the list in the left side of the window expand Windows Logs and select System. Place the cursor on System, select Action from the Menu and Save All Events as (the default evtx file type) and give the file a name. Do the same for the Applications log. Do not provide filtered files. Do not clear logs whilst you have a continuing problem.

I suppose I should point out that this was a sudden problem and not just everyday computer slow down. Literally the day this crash and problem started my computer was working perfectly fine. I had it over at a friend's house and we played League of Legends for several hours, and during that time and up until that point it had absolutely no issues.

It wasn't until after I closed the laptop, took it home and tried to use it again that this started happening. It had froze, I restarted it, and it would not boot up at all, remaining on the Windows logo until I restarted it again. It wasn't until I rebooted many times that I could actually log into a profile, and many times later that it became functional enough to request help online.
