Hello Support
I am getting conflicting results when I search on Microsoft.com, whether Windows Server 2019 Datacenter Edition version 1809 is supported and eligible for security updates or not. The lifecycle page says support ends November 10, 2020. Other sites and forums say the support ends 1/09/2024? See the following links:

https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/windows-server-for-it-pro/server-2019-1809-to-1909/m-p/1577254
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/products/windows-server-2019
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/get-started/windows-server-release-info

Can I get an official answer from Microsoft whether this is the case. If so, what are our options to upgrade the version to a supported version of OS?

-Dennis

    @Dennis Tuttle
    Hi,
    These are two different versions, a long term servicing channel and a semi annual channel.

    Windows Server 2019 (Long-Term Servicing Channel) (Datacenter, Essentials, Standard)
    Windows Server, version 1809 (Semi-Annual Channel) (Datacenter Core, Standard Core)

    If you are using Windows Server 2019, the support ends 1/09/2024.

    Hope above information can help you.

    The release information page is quiet clear

    Windows Server 2019 (Long-Term Servicing Channel) - 01/09/2024 (Mainstream EOS) - 01/09/2029 (Extended EOS)

    Windows Server, version 1809 (Semi-Annual Channel) - 11/10/2020
