Regarding the game crashes. Sort out the drivers first and then come back with exactly what is, or

is not happening with the games -

What sort of crash - Black Screen, crash to Desktop, BSOD, TDR ?

Are there any error messages ?

    What games ?

What are you system specifications, including make and model graphics card and brand and

Watts power supply (if it's not an OEM machine)."i had unistall and install the graphic card with all the updates on direct x and ati"

I'm not clear where you are at the moment, so I'll start from the top.

You full system specifications including make and model of graphics processor would be helpful. but-

If you are using a laptop or an OEM PC ( DELL, HP, etc. ) , download the drivers from the mfg's web site.

If you are using a 'custom' built PC, or one built by a shop or similar small mfg. download the

    drivers from AMD's web site.

AMD Graphics Drivers & Software – Download the latest drivers for your graphics products

    • Setup Windows updates so it does not update your graphics drivers. The graphics driver

updates are in the 'optional' updates section of Windows Updates.

    • Do not use Device Manager for drivers for dedicated graphics cards.
    • Some people use 'automatic' driver update options, on the mfg's web site such as "AutomaticallyDetect and Install"  but I prefer manual uninstall and reinstall. I find manual more reliable.
    • Uninstall all the graphics driver components via Programs and Features - reboot
    • Install the new drivers and reboot again.
    • Sometimes, if a graphics driver install is corrupt it helps to also run Driver Fusion

after you uninstall and reboot. When using Driver Fusion be careful to only allow it to uninstall

drivers for your graphics card. Reboot again before installing the new drivers.

As far as dxdiag is concerned, I've always found that confusing as well.

This is partly due to mfg's using different numbering systems for their drivers.

I currently have what AMD refers to as 13.9 on their download page and installer package,

but dxdiag and gpu-Z call it version 13.152.0.0. (Nvidia does the same thing with their version numbers.)

However, MSI Afterburner lists driver version 9.14.10.0984 and Catalyst 13.9,

so I guess AMD label the driver package with the Catalyst Control Centre version number ?

    • The AMD 13.9 driver was released on 18 Sept. but dxdiag has a date of 31 Aug  - Go figure....

Anyway - I don't worry the small stuff as long as the games run properly.
