How to change VS Xaml highlight bg more visible in dark mode?
In dark theme of VS 2019, I develop an UWP app.
When I select a control in design view, it highlight Xaml code.
But the highlight is very light and not stands out. It's not easy to locate the code.
It highlights well in light theme.
How can I change the highlight more visible?
I tried many way and couldn't find a way.
Hello there! Thankfully this can be achieved by typing Fonts and Colors in the Search bar at the top of VS studio. Navigate to Inactive Selected Text, then change the background or highlight color.

F.Y.I. It's little tricky first time. After the first change it didn't work. Later several trials, it worked. It seems it took little time applying the configuration.

I did exactly this - but the background color of my highlight never changes, does it require a restart of visual studio?
I have a question that is related to this (I found this post while looking for a solution to my related (but different) issue). So while we are on the subject, when I click a control in the WPF designer, visual studio highlights the control declaration in the XAML editor so I know which one in the editor I need to make changes to (I like working on the text editor better than the designer, but the designer is nice for finding things if my XAML gets too unwieldy (if using the default split screen view).
What's the correct setting in the Tools dialog for visual studio to make this a custom color? Thank you!
